Makati subdues Laguna to inch closer to top PFL table

Kaya-Makati strengthened its hold of second place in the PFL standings with a 1-0 win against Stallion Laguna at the University of Makati Stadium on Sunday night.

Marwin Angeles struck the lone goal in the 40th minute to give Makati the full three points.

However, Laguna still put up a scare in the 71st minute as Balut Doctora got a clean look at the goal only that his shot hit the top of the post before sailing out.

Also, Makati ended the match one man short as Miguel Tanton was slapped with a red card off two yellows, the last on a delay of game infraction.

Still, Makati moves up to 10 points, two points behind league-leading Manila ahead of their "NCR Derby" on June 17 at the said venue.
