Omron launches automatic wrist blood pressure monitors

MANILA, July 22 (PNA) - As part of its effort to provide health tools for people on the move, Omron Healthcare on Thursday launched its automatic wrist blood pressure monitors to enable busy people to monitor their blood pressures despite their hectic schedules.

Wrist-type blood pressure monitors are compact, portable and ideal for use at home, work or even in travels.

Called HEM 6200, the device is capable of saving up to 60 entries while HEM 6052, another variant, has two-user mega memory which allows two individuals to save up to 100 entries on their individual accounts.

HEM 6200 and HEM 6052 models can also detect irregular heartbeat, which may indicate Arrhythmia, structural abnormalities of the heart, diseased blood vessels and congenital heart defects.

Aside from blood pressure monitoring, Omron's models also come in with features that will allow one to practice regular monitoring, which will give the necessary data to the doctor to help him come up with a more credible diagnosis if issues are to be discovered.
