Zark's Lyceum burns Mila's, 102-55, in PBA D-League

Zark's-Lyceum shut down Mila's in the final half-hour en route to a 102-55 rout for its fifth straight win in the PBA D-League Aspirants Cup at the Pasig Sports Center in Pasig on Thursday.

The cellar-dwelling Mighty Roasters put up a surprise on the red-hot Jawbreakers early into the game as they were tied, 25-all, after the first quarter.

Zark's-Lyceum, however, stifled Mila's from thereon, limiting its opponent to only 30 points the rest of the way, 14 in the second quarter and eight in each of the last two quarters. The team pulled away for good following a 23-0 run in the third quarter.

Mike Nzeusseu made 15 points and 10 rebounds for the Pirates-bolstered Jawbreakers, who are actually in a back-to-back-to-back-to-back stretch in all competitions as they will play for three straight days in the PCCL beginning Friday.

Ken Acibar made 16 markers for the Mighty Roasters, who dropped to 0-4.
